Stromal Vascular Fraction (SVF)

Stromal Vascular Fraction (SVF) is a skin treatment that can be a by-product of your own excess adipose (fat) tissue obtained from undergoing a Lipo Aspiration or Liposuction procedure. Along with endothelial cells, fat cells and blood cells, it contains a large percentage of adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells which provide it with regenerative and thus the positive aging properties. Stromal Vascular Fraction (SVF) is a unique, personalised and effective topical or injectable treatment that is potentially sitting around in your excess fat waiting to be utilised.

The maintenance, repair and regenerative properties of your skin are reliant upon the stem cell niches embedded in your skin. These stem cell niches are also less efficient with age. Therefore, Stromal Vascular Fraction (SVF) will provide the additional boost your skin needs in order to expedite the skin repair and regeneration, leaving your skin younger, smoother, healthier, softer and more radiant.

Stromal Vascular Fraction (SVF) is also the primary source of a variety of growth factors that are essential for advanced tissue healing, cellular regeneration, and collagen production. All of which, will provide a longer and lasting effect on the treatment area by replacing the damaged and aged skin with healthier and new cells that leaves your skin feeling and looking rejuvenated.

When Do We Recommend It?

Stromal Vascular Fraction (SVF) is recommended for the treatment of fine lines, wrinkles, sagging aged and damaged skin as well as to improve general skin tone, texture, and elasticity.

How Does It Work?

Your Aesthetic Specialist will collect a sample of lipoaspirate. Following collection, your lipoaspirate sample will be sent to an EU GMP grade A laboratory situated in Sandton, where it is digested, centrifuged, concentrated and prepared for topical use. Your treatment can be performed as soon as 24-48 hours.  One lipoaspirate sample will generate sufficient serum which can be used for up to three treatments.

When Do We Advise Against It?

The only known exclusions to this therapy is for patients who have any past or present infectious disease. The laboratory cannot process any lipoaspirate sample that may be a concern and/or risk to infection or contamination.

What Can You / Can’t You Expect From The Treatment?

Stromal Vascular Fraction (SVF) leads to softer, smoother, more radiant looking skin resulting from the repair and replacement of aged and damaged cells. Optimal results are achieved after approximately three weeks and may last up to a year.

What Are The Unwanted Effects / Risks Of The Treatment?

There are no known risks or unwanted effects associated with Stromal Vascular Fraction (SVF)
