What Is the Typical Course Of Treatment?
A consultation with Dr Cohen is essential to outline your concerns with your face and neck area. It is important to advise of your concerns so that the appropriate treatment options can be discussed with you. Dr Cohen will offer Embedded threading solutions where appropriate and may suggest combinations of these with other treatments such as fat transfer and skin rejuvenating treatments to achieve the desired outcome and ultimate result.
Once you have agreed on the treatment plan it is essential to have a pre-procedure consultation with one of our nursing staff. At that time additional information will be provided about the procedure and any questions will be answered that may have arisen subsequent to your original consultation.
Embedded threading is performed by Dr Cohen under sterile conditions to avoid any risks of skin infection. Mild sedatives are given pre-procedure so that you are relaxed. What Are the Unwanted Effects / Risks Of The Treatment?
It is important that you notify your specialist of all and any pre-existing medical conditions before treatment. We suggest you stop any blood thinning medication a few days before and after the procedure. The most common side effects are slight swelling and bruising, which will disappear within a few hours to days. However, do not hesitate to contact your specialist should you have any other side effects as all skin injection procedures carry a risk of infection, even in the most stringently clean environments.
