Every year we see new products and aesthetic treatments come onto the market which are displayed on retail store shelves and offered in doctors’ practices. Many of these new aesthetic treatment options promise to permanently eradicate wrinkles, erase stretch marks and smooth out cellulite. The question is how many of these aesthetic treatments actually work and more importantly, are these promises even possible to achieve. In this article we will uncover some of the new aesthetic treatments that have emerged and explain what the treatment is and what results you can expect to achieve.

Dermal Fillers

Dermal Fillers or Tissue Fillers have been popular aesthetic treatments since the early 2000’s. Hyaluronic Fillers came onto the market as a first in non-invasive procedures available that aided in radically changing shape with their incredible ability to lift and volumize wrinkles, hallowing and shape on the face. Dermal Fillers can be used to volumize lips, add loss volume in the cheeks, hallowing under the eye area and fill our nasobilial lines around the mouth.

Fractional Lasers

Fractional Laser combine the best of the gentle and safe aspects of both fractionated and non-ablative laser technology that is available today, unlike many of the CO2 lasers that paved the way for skin tightening, Fractional Laser offers a more manageable effective aesthetic treatments without the lengthily healing time. Fractional laser treatment is aimed at improving fine lines and wrinkles, skin texture, acne scarring and stretch marks. The laser can be used to treat the face, neck, chest and body safely and effectively. Fractional Laser is also effective in treating darker skin types with less risk of decolouration or damage.

Fat Freezing

There is a fair amount of controversy surrounding Fat Freezing. This treatment combines non-invasive freezing technology that claims to kill fat, and ultrasound that causes the fat cells to vibrate and break up. There are many doctors who have reservations about this treatment option for fat reduction that often seem too good to be true. Fat Freezing cannot offer the same results as liposuction and are not as reliable.

Micro Fat and Nano Fat Transfers

Human fat has long been recognized as an ideal method for reshaping areas of the body, by removing it from one place and transferring it to another, but this was usually not related or known for in aesthetic procedures. This injection method of fat sculpting, also knows as Microlipoinjection, can restore attractive contours to your cheeks, chin, under eye area and voluminsation to the breast and buttocks. Unlike Dermal Fillers which are reabsorbed into the body, lasting between 9 to 12 month, Micro Fat Transfer which settle and develop are generally permanent. However, aging cannot be stopped and environmental and lifestyle factors have to be put into account.

Skin Care Products
Like many of the new fab diets, there is a selection of new products that work but may not necessarily work for you. Simply slashing on a long line of products onto your aging skin doesn’t result in everlasting age reversal, the answer is as simple as the diets, one diet may work for you and not for another because our bodies, like our skin, are all different. This means that your skin care regime is as personal and individual, because it is based on your unique skin type, your lifestyle, hormone changes and diet.
